Suspension files are the most commonly used type of hanging storage found in offices as they are easy to access and files are simply identified using tabs. The most common type used is the vertical suspension file, which have special hooks on each end to fit runners in desk drawers and filing storage solutions, allowing multiple files to be fitted onto the same runner, reducing the space required.
We aim to provide our customers with the highest quality supplies at the best prices, which is why we only stock the best brands like Q-Connect and Rexel.
Tips for buying Vertical Suspension Files
It's important when buying your files that you know the correct size needed. There are two sizes available - A4 which has a width of 340mm and Foolscap which have a width of 405mm. Another important consideration is the base type of the suspension file, which determines how many documents can be held within. There are two main base types available: V-base are the most compact but only hold around 150 sheets of paper, and square base which hold around 300-500 sheets, but take up more capacity.
The material used will also affect the price and quality of your storage solution. Manilla files are made from strong cardboard and are reliable and reasonably inexpensive, while some other files are made from strong, durable plastic and are more expensive.
