Plastic pockets are designed to protect your documents from fingerprints, spills, damage from tears and creases. The pockets are made from a highly flexible type of plastic, which is manufactured into a wallet or bag containing a slit at one end so you can put files in and not worry about them falling out the other end. The majority of plastic pockets come with a sleeve on one side that is punched with multiple holes, allowing the pocket to be attached to a folder without needing to punch individual sheets of paper. Pockets are usually clear or semi-transparent plastic so people can read the text on the paper without needing to remove it, and although they can fit multiple sheets, most people tend to have just two sheets back to back, enabling text to be read on both sides.
Punched pockets are most commonly used to file sheets of paper in ring binders and lever arch files. The benefits of using these pockets are that you don't have to spend time punching holes in individual sheets, which may also damage important documents. A lot of pockets come with a slightly fogged finish, designed to reduce glare, enabling people to see the text on the paper easily, perfect for presenting work or displaying product images to customers.
